Samsung Galaxy S21 certified by FCC with 9W reverse wireless charging

Samsung is launching the Galaxy S21 flagships next month, but first, the Korean company has to acquire the required approvals across multiple markets. The latest certification comes from the FCC, where the vanilla Galaxy S21, codenamed SM-G991U appeared, featuring 25W wired charging support.

The phone listing also mentions 9W reverse wireless charging, doubling the rate of the Galaxy S20 rates.

The whole equipment, certified by the FCC, included some information about a charger. The EP-TA800 adapter was also approved by the US regulatory, however, we don’t know whether it will actually ship in the retail box for the US market or not. We know Apple is already doing it, and by the looks of it, Samsung is ready to follow suit.

Previous leaks suggest the phone will have a Snapdragon 888 chipset, 8GB RAM and a flat 6.3” screen with 120Hz refresh rate.
