Aside from sending out a stable One UI 4 update to S21 family members in the US today to fix some lag issues, Samsung is also updating the older Galaxy S20 and Note20 series models with a fresh new build of One UI 4 – although in this case it’s still in beta form.
The second beta of One UI 4 based on Android 12 is thus headed to the Galaxy S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, Note20, and Note20 Ultra, for both Exynos and Snapdragon versions of these phones. The new build number ends in ZUKA.
The software contains the December 2021 security patches, and a bunch of bug fixes for things like adaptive refresh rate errors, Quick Share icon errors, and Clear View Display Cover related errors. You should also expect improved frame rates throughout the UI, as well as better search in the Messages app.
People who have enrolled in the One UI 4 beta on their S20 or Note20 family device should receive this build over-the-air shortly. If you want to enter the beta testing program, you need to use the Samsung Members app in specific countries to enroll your phone – you’ll then receive the latest beta build over-the-air. Let’s hope this one doesn’t introduce any new bugs.
