Samsung Galaxy M20 and M30 get stable Android 10 with One UI 2.0 in India

Following the quicker than expected roll-out of Android 10 to the Galaxy S10 series, Samsung has begun seeding the stable One UI 2.0 update to the Galaxy M20 and M30 in India, making them the first non-flagship Samsung devices to receive Android 10. Initially, both phones were scheduled to receive the big update in January 2020 but Samsung felt confident and decided to treat its users to the latest Android version in advance.

The updates come in at just over 1.29 GB, which is less than the nearly 2 GB update for the S10 trio. The M20 gets build number M205FDDU3CSL4 while the M30 bears the M305FDDU3CSL4 build moniker. Both updates also come with the December 2019 security patch and are exclusive to India for now. This should change in the coming weeks as more regions get added to the list.

Android 10 with One UI 2.0 brings a minor visual change with an improved system-wide dark mode, sleeker animations and better-optimized app placement in folders. A bigger change comes with the new Android 10 gestures which replace the home button with a swipe from the bottom, swipe and hold gets you to your recent apps while an inward swipe from either side now serves as the back button.
