Samsung Galaxy A90 5G goes official: Snapdragon 855 SoC, 48MP camera, 6.7″ display

Samsung already has three 5G smartphones in its portfolio – Galaxy S10 5G, Galaxy Note10 5G, and Galaxy Note10+ 5G. Today, the company has added a fourth one – Galaxy A90 5G – making it the first premium mid-range smartphone from the South Korean tech giant that supports the next-gen network.

The Galaxy A90 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 855 SoC which is coupled with 6GB or 8GB RAM. The smartphone runs Android Pie and has 128GB of storage. The 6GB RAM variant also comes with a microSD card slot, allowing storage expansion by up to 512GB.

The Galaxy A90 5G is built around a 6.7″ FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display that has a fingerprint reader embedded in it and a cut-out at the top for the 32MP selfie camera.

The back of the phone, which is covered with a glass having a “unique geometric pattern”, is home to a triple camera setup comprising of 48MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, and 5MP depth sensor units. The rear cameras come with features like Super Steady, Scene Optimizer and Flaw Detector, while the front camera boasts a Live Focus Mode.

The Galaxy A90 5G also supports Samsung DeX, making it the first A series smartphone to have this feature.

The smartphone comes in Black and White colors and packs a 4,500 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.

Pricing of the Galaxy A90 5G is currently unknown, but it will arrive in South Korea tomorrow and will expand to other markets later.
