The Samsung Galaxy A71 5G listing on TENAA has been updated with photos of the device. It shouldn’t surprise you to hear that not much has changed externally. Actually, the dimensions and weight are slightly different, though nothing that you would notice just by handling the phone. Even the Crush Black color seems to be the same.
The bigger changes would be on the inside, of course, as the phone switches to an Exynos 980 chipset with an integrated 5G modem. This may also deliver a slight boost in performance as the new chip uses two Cortex-A77 cores instead of A76 line in the Snapdragon 730G of the 4G version.

The battery appears to have the same capacity (or a bit less, depending on whether TENAA is reporting typical or minimal capacity). It would be interesting to see what kind of impact the addition of 5G will have on battery life.
The Galaxy A71 5G is expected to launch globally and given that it’s been through TENAA, 3C and other agencies, we think that Samsung is just keeping an eye on the outbreak situation, waiting for the right time to officially announce the phone.
