Samsung Galaxy A70 gets Super Steady video mode with latest update

The Samsung Galaxy A70 becomes the second A-series phone to get this premium Super Steady video stabilization feature. This feature was introduced with the Galaxy S10 flagships and was also featured on the premium Galaxy A80.

Keep in mind that Super Steady reduces the field of view of the camera more than typical EIS (but it creates noticeably smoother footage). Also, it’s limited to 1080p/30 videos.

This update is currently rolling out in the Netherlands and Belgium, at least for unlocked phones (carriers are yet to release the update). This software, version A705FNXXU2ASF5, weighs a bit under 500MB. It brings the usual set of bug fixes and improvements. The security patch level remains unchanged – May 1.

More notable changes (besides Super Steady) include improved performance of the touchscreen and improved camera stability.

Note: you will not be able to downgrade to an older software version after installing this update as it also comes with a new security policy.
