Samsung Galaxy A53 5G’s full specs revealed by TENAA

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G we’ve been hearing about since last October has been certified by China’s TENAA, revealing full specs in the process.

The Galaxy A53 5G, sporting model code SM-A5360, is powered by an octa-core processor with a maximum clock frequency of 2.4GHz. TENAA doesn’t mention the chipset’s name in its listing, but we’ve previously seen SM-A536U on Geekbench with the Exynos 1200 SoC, having two cores clocked at 2.4Ghz max frequency and the remaining six capped at 2GHz.

The SM-A5360 has 8GB of RAM onboard. However, the SM-A536U we saw on Geekbench last month with Android 12 had 6GB RAM, so you can expect the smartphone to have different memory options depending on the region. It’s also said to have different chipsets in different markets.

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is built around a 6.46″ FullHD+ display. While TENAA hasn’t explicitly mentioned the panel type, it’s safe to say we are looking at an AMOLED screen here since the smartphone will feature an in-display fingerprint reader.

TENAA says the Galaxy A53 5G will come with a total of five cameras – two on the front (12MP+5MP) and three on the back (64MP+32MP+5MP). But that’s a mistake since the leaked renders and images shared by TENAA tell us the smartphone has four shooters on the rear and one inside the centered punch hole.

We’ll likely see the selfie camera use a 32MP sensor, while the 64MP primary camera on the rear will be joined by a 12MP ultrawide, 5MP macro, and 5MP depth units.

Keeping the lights on is a battery with a rated capacity of 4,860 mAh, meaning the typical capacity will be around 5,000 mAh.

The Galaxy A53 5G is 8.1mm thick, weighs 190 grams, and has two storage options – 128GB and 256GB. Although it also has a microSD card slot for storage expansion by up to 1TB.

TENAA says the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G will be offered in white and blue colors, but rumors claim the smartphone will arrive in at least four colors, including black and orange.

There’s no word from Samsung about the Galaxy A53 5G yet, but a previous leak claimed the smartphone will go official sometime in Q1 2022. The Galaxy A52 and A52 5G were announced last March, so we expect the A53 5G to launch during the same time this year.
