The arrival of the new user interface is in line with the previously announced rollout schedule, in which over 30 Galaxy devices were promised to get One UI 5.0 before the end of the calendar year, with eight more waiting their turn in early 2023.

The interface brings a redesigned lock screen with more options for customization, smart suggestion for widgets and some new features for the built-in voice assistant Bixby. Security-wise, Samsung introduced a Connected devices menu and privacy hub with security and privacy dashboards, and now informs users when they try to share photos of identification documents or bank cards.
