A software update for the Galaxy S10 family began rolling out yesterday in parts of Europe with new features and September 2019 security patch. Today, Samsung officially announced the rollout and detailed all the new features that make their way to the Galaxy S10 lineup.
The new firmware brings in Galaxy Note10 camera features to the Galaxy S10 series, like AR Doodle and Live Focus video recording. The latter lets you apply bokeh effects to the videos recorded with the front or rear camera.
The update also brings Night Mode to the front camera and includes Super Steady video stabilization. Besides, the Galaxy S10 series gets a built-in video editor accessible from Samsung’s Gallery app which lets you trim videos and stitch multiple clips together. It can also be used to adjust the playback speed of a video and add background music and subtitles to it.
Apart from the camera features, the new firmware comes with improved versions of Samsung Pass and Messages. It also brings Samsung Dex support and Link to Windows integration to the Galaxy S10 family.
Samsung is seeding this update in a staged manner, so it will be a while before it reaches all the units across Europe.
