Less than 24 hours ago, we reported about a revelation where a Samsung representative confirmed that the company sold more than 1 million of its innovative Galaxy Fold smartphones. Today, Samsung had to deny the medias reports of the supposed milestone.
During the Disrupt Belin conference, Samsung Electronics President Sohn Young-kwon revealed that Samsung sold 1 million Galaxy Fold smartphones. And I think the point is, were selling [a] million of these Theres a million people that want to use this product at $2,000.
As per the denial report, the Samsung spokesperson may have confused the figure with the companys initial sales target for the year, emphasizing that sales of the tech firms first foldable handset have not reached 1 million units.
Analysts originally predicted that Samsung would sell between 400,000 to 500,000 Galaxy Fold units in 2019 with Samsung expecting to sell around 500,000. The company hasnt yet offered the actual number of Galaxy Fold Sales.
