Samsung Confirms Perplexity Support for Galaxy A57 5G, Galaxy A37 5G, Alongside New AI Features

Samsung announced the launch of the Galaxy A57 5G and the Galaxy A37 5G last week and now, it is sharing a few software-related announcements for the two new A-series phones. The brand has confirmed Perplexity support for Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G, addition of Direct Voicemail feature, and much more.

In a press note, the brand announced Perplexity support for Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G, bringing the same multi-assistant experience found in its flagship Galaxy S26 series. Users get three options to choose from as their default AI assistant, including Gemini, Bixby, and Perplexity.

Next, the company confirmed the arrival of other new AI features on the two new A-series phones with One UI 8.5. The devices support Direct Voicemail, which allows callers to leave messages, if unanswered, with 100% voice accuracy so users can hear the message in the caller’s voice. These messages are transcribed by AI and stored securely on-device, independent of network operators.

Additionally, the Enhanced Translation & Transcription feature, with support for English, Hindi and Gujarati in India, converts voice to text and translates it so consumers can read it in their own language.

For noisy environments, whether in traffic, at the airport, the marketplace or in the metro, Call Captions provide real-time transcription for simultaneous reading and listening, while Voice Focus eliminates ambient noise for clear calls in loud settings.

Existing AI features have also been improved, such as the Circle to Search with Google visual discovery feature has now been upgraded to allow users to search for multiple objects in the same image directly from their screen without switching apps. The camera system also benefits from deeper AI integration: It adjusts exposure, detects subjects, and refines details automatically for brighter images with reduced noise and natural skin tones as per Samsung’s claims.

AI-powered editing tools have also been refined where the improved Object Eraser removes unwanted elements from images directly on-device, while Best Face combines multiple frames to produce better group photos by selecting optimal expressions for each subject.

These new enhancements have been made possible by the newer and more powerful chipsets. Galaxy A57 5G packs the Exynos 1680 Processor that delivers 33 percent higher NPU performance, while the Galaxy A37 5G runs on the Exynos 1480 processor that shows 162 percent improvement in NPU performance over the previous generation.
