Samsung Announces Galaxy Unpacked February 2026 Event, Pre-Reservations Go Live; Galaxy S26 Series Detailed Specs Surface

Samsung has announced the Galaxy Unpacked February 2026 event for later this month where it will be unveiling its Galaxy S26 series. “Get ready for a mobile experience designed to remove friction from the things you do every day. The new Galaxy S series is coming – built to simplify everyday interactions, inspire confidence and make Galaxy AI feel seamlessly integrated from the moment it’s in hand,” the company said while announcing the event.

The Galaxy Unpacked February 2026 event is scheduled for February 25 in San Francisco. The event will be streamed live on Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom India and Samsung’s YouTube channel beginning at 11.30 p.m. IST.

Alongside, the company has also begun taking pre-reservations from its website where you can pay Rs 999 and pre-reserve the upcoming Galaxy S26 series phones and also get an assured voucher worth Rs 2,699, highest exchange value lock-in, buy the devices in special colours available only at Samsung’s website, and also purchase Samsung Care+ plans. The Rs 999 amount is refundable if the buyer does not avail the pre-reserve pass.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Detailed Specs

Shortly after the Galaxy Unpacked February 2026 event was announced, the Galaxy S26 series detailed specs were also leaked in a report by WinFuture.

The display on the Galaxy S26 Ultra is a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2x panel with dynamic Refresh Rate from 1Hz to 120Hz, 240Hz touch sampling rate, Eye comfort shield, and up to 2600 nits of peak brightness. Further, there’s an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Corning Gorilla Armor 2 protects this panel.

It features 12GB and 16GB RAM options with storage options including 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The device is powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy SoC.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra gets a quad-camera setup at the rear, including a 200MP primary wide camera with dual Pixel AF, OIS, f/1.4 aperture, paired with a 50MP ultra-wide camera with 120-degree FoV, f/1.9 aperture, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 5x Optical Zoom support, OIS, f/2.8 Aperture and a 10MP telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom support, OIS and f/2.4 aperture. In addition, there’s a 12MP front sensor with an f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calls.

As for the software, the S26 Ultra runs on OneUI 8.5 based on Android 16. Further, S26 Ultra will receive 7 major Android OS upgrades and 7 years of security updates. Additional features include S-Pen support housed inside the slot at the bottom side of the S26 Ultra. Further, both the S-Pen and the phone are IP68 water and dust resistant as well. Connectivity options on the device include UWB support, Wi-Fi 7, 5G, LTE, NFC, Bluetooth v5.4, and Wi-Fi Direct.

The Galaxy S26 has a 6.3-inch FHD+ Resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels). It supports an adaptive Refresh Rate up to 120Hz. The display also gets max brightness of up to 2600 nits and is protected with Gorilla Glass Armor 2. It supports HDR10+ and has a Pixel density of 418 ppi.

The Galaxy S26+ has a 6.7-inch QHD+ Resolution (3120 x 1440 pixels). It supports an adaptive Refresh Rate up to 120Hz and touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz. The display also gets max brightness of up to 2600 nits and is protected with Gorilla Glass Armor 2.

They will get Exynos 2600 Chipset in Europe. It is unclear which other regions will have the Exynos variant. US should be getting the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 version. They are paired with 12GB RAM along with 256GB and 512GB storage options.

Galaxy S26 and S26+ camera setup comprises of a 50MP primary wide camera with f/1.8 aperture, multi-directional PDAF and OIS. Then there’s a 10MP telephoto sensor with 3x Optical Zoom support, an f/2.4 aperture, OIS, PDAF and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 Aperture and 120-degree FoV. Next, same as the Ultra, they have a 12MP f/2.2 front-facing camera.

The S26 runs on a 4300mAh battery and offers 25W wired and 15W wireless charging with reverse wireless charging support. The Galaxy S26+ gets a 4900mAh cell with wireless charging and 45W fast wired charging. As for the software, the S26 series runs on One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 out of the box. Further, the S26 series will receive 7 major Android OS upgrades and 7 years of security updates.

Additional features include dual speakers with Dolby Atmos and IP68 dust & water resistance. Connectivity options on the device includes Wi-Fi 7, 5G, LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi Direct.
