HMD just announced the official arrival its rugged Nokia XR20 smartphone in India with pre-orders starting on October 20 and actual sales commencing on October 30. The handset’s main appeal is its durability boasting IP68 water and dust protection on top of the MIL-STD-810H military standard.
The XR20 is powered by a Snapdragon 480 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. The device is built around a 6.67-inch 1080 x 2400px IPS display protected by a sheet of Gorilla Glass Victus. The touchscreen can work with gloves and wet hands.
The camera department consists of a 48MP rear shooter with f/1.8 aperture, Zeiss-branded optics and is joined by a 13MP ultrawide camera with fairly wide 123-degree field of view and f/2.4 aperture. The front houses an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.0.
The phone has a 4,630 mAh battery supporting up to 18W wired charging and up to 15W wireless Qi charging.
The available colors are Granite and Ultra Blue with a starting price of INR 46,999 ($620) and those who pre-order the Nokia XR20 between October 20 and 29 will get some freegbies such as the Nokia Power Earbuds Lite or one year screen protection plan.
