Redmi Turbo 5, Redmi Turbo 5 Max Launched in China with MediaTek Dimensity Processors

Redmi Turbo 5 and the Redmi Turbo 5 Max have been launched in China with high-end MediaTek Dimensity chipsets. The Max variant comes packed with a huge 9000mAh battery while the Turbo 5 has a 7560mAh battery. Here’s everything else to know about the new phones from Redmi.

The Turbo 5 starts at CNY 1999 (approx Rs 26,430) for the 12GB + 256G model. It comes in Shadow Black, Light Sea Green, and Auspicious Cloud White colours.

The Redmi Turbo 5 sports a 6.59-inch (2756 x 1268 pixels) 1.5K AMOLED 20:9 display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, up to 3500 nits peak brightness, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 3840Hz PWM Dimming, Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and DC Dimming.

The device packs the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra SoC and runs on Android 16-based HyperOS 3.0. The smartphone also houses up to 16GB LPPDR5x RAM, 512GB UFS 4.1 storage, and VC liquid cooling system. The device is IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K rated.

For optics, the handset features a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 f/1.5 sensor with OIS and an 8-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide angle lens. For selfies, the handset houses a 20-megapixel OV20B f/2.2 selfie camera.

Connectivity options include 5G dual SIM, WiFi 6, Bluetooth v5.4, Dual-Band GNSS, IR blaster and NFC. It has dual stereo speakers. The handset also features an in-screen optical fingerprint sensor. For battery, the smartphone packs a 7560mAh silicon-carbon battery along with support for 100W Fast charging and 27W reverse wired charging.

The Turbo 5 Max starts at CNY 2,499 (approx Rs 33,000) for the 12GB + 256GB model. It comes in Shadow Black, Ocean Blue, Auspicious Cloud White, and Sunshine Orange shades.

The Redmi Turbo 5 Max sports a 6.83-inch (2772 x 1280 pixels) 1.5K OLED 20:9 display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, up to 3500 nits peak brightness, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 3840Hz PWM Dimming, Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and DC Dimming.
