Redmi K60 Ultra to match Samsung phones’ support, Xiaomi promises

Xiaomi has extended a solid promise of support for the newly announced Redmi K60 Ultra (also known as Extreme Edition) in China.

The phone will get at least 4 major Android version updates, 5 years of over-the-air security patches, and will be in the first wave of devices to get MIUI 15. Sans the latter, Xiaomi has matched Samsung’s renowned update policy for the majority of its Galaxy devices.

The announcement is live on Redmi’s official Weibo page. Xiaomi doesn’t specify the number of MIUI updates the phone is entitled to – in Xiaomi’s world, MIUI updates typically come for many years after Android version updates have stopped.

The Redmi K60 Ultra is expected to become global as the Xiaomi 13T Pro with slightly better cameras but the same 6.67-inch 144Hz OLED, Dimensity 9200+ chipset, and 5,000mAh battery with 120W charging.
