The Realme X50 5G that went on its first sale yesterday in China was sold out quickly. While Realme didn’t reveal the number of units sold, the stock depletion is indicative of the strong interest garnered by the Chinese phone maker’s first 5G smartphone.
If you couldn’t buy the X50 5G in the first sale, the next one is scheduled for January 9 in China at 10 AM local time.
The X50 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 765G SoC and comes in three memory versions – 8GB/128GB priced at CNY2,499 ($360/325), 6GB/256GB priced at CNY2,699 ($390/350), and the top-end model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage that costs CNY2,999 ($430/390).
The X50 5G runs Android 10-based ColorOS 7 out of the box and sports a 6.57″ FHD+ 120Hz IPS LCD. The display has a pill-shaped hole in the top-left corner housing the 16MP regular and 8MP ultrawide cameras.
Around the back, the phone has a quad camera setup which is a combination of 64MP main, 12MP telephoto, 8MP ultrawide, and 2MP depth sensor units.
