Earlier today the Realme CMO teased a new phone, called Realme X2 Pro and powered by the Snapdragon 855 Plus. Several hours later the Chief Product Officer also chimed in on Weibo, this time with a screenshot. The post simply says heres a little gift for National Day #X2Pro and the image attached reveals a toggle between 60 Hz and 90 Hz refresh rate for the upcoming device.
This is not the first time Dereck Wang is teasing the new refresh rate – earlier this month he said that Realmes 90 Hz device is on its way and it will be cheaper than the OnePlus 7T, a phone that is manufactured in the same BBK Electronics factories, where Oppo units are also made. Interestingly enough, the screenshot is black – we don’t know if ColorOS 6 will have Dark mode or this is a feature-specific color.
There’s always the possibility that Realme is finally ready with its OS – a move we’ve been hearing about for the past few months.
If Realme follows the OnePlus philosophy in the display field, the Realme X2 Pro screen will be a massive overhaul of the Realme X2s 6.4 panel – we should expect slightly bigger screen with the same waterdrop notch. Other specs like the 64 MP camera and the 32 MP selfie shooter are likely to remain unchanged, while fans want even faster charging and bigger batteries.
