Realme X2 and X2 Pro get December security patch and Dark Mode toggle with latest updates

Realme released a software update for the X2 Pro in China last week that brought along a Dark Mode toggle and December 2019 security patch to the flagship. The rollout has now expanded to India, but the update comes with a tad different changelog. You can check it out below:

    • Android security patch: December 2019
  • Launcher
    • Added click the blank area to back to the launcher on recent task interface
  • Notification Center and Status Bar
    • Added fast switch toggles of dark mode in notification center
  • Settings
    • Added flash on call feature
  • Camera
    • Added HDR feature of video mode
  • Known issue fixed
    • Fixed partial issues to improve stability

Realme has also released a software update for the vanilla X2 in India, which too comes with a Dark Mode toggle and bumps up the Android security patch level on the phone to December 2019.

But aside from that, the firmware also optimizes the Nightscape mode for the front camera and voice call quality for third-party apps. Check out the complete changelog below to know more:

    • Fixed the issue of low sound when connected to AirPods2 headset
    • Fixed the problem that the background of the WhatsApp application dialog is not clear in dark mode
    • Fixed the issue of camera overexposure in some scenes

The new builds for the X2 and X2 Pro, bearing version numbers RMX1992EX_11_A.17 and RMX1931EX_11_A.08, respectively, are currently seeding to a limited number of users but a broader rollout will commence in a few days if no bugs are found.

However, those who can’t wait for the updates to reach their devices can install them manually by downloading the packages from here.
