The stars of Realme’s event today were the Realme 8s 5G and 8i phones along with the company’s first tablet, the Realme Pad. However, the company also brought out a few smaller gadgets that pair well with the phones and tablet – two portable Bluetooth speakers and a new paint job for the Buds Air 2 TWS headset.
The Realme Cobble Bluetooth speaker features a 5W dynamic driver with a passive bass radiator for a deeper bass while keeping the unit small and light. The speaker has a frequency response of 110 Hz to 18 KHz. It provides mono sound, but if you (or one of your friends) have a second Cobble speaker, you can pair them to get stereo sound.
The speaker is suitable for outdoor use with its IPX5 water resistance and it is quite portable with a weight of 200g. You can also use it for gaming since it supports the same 88 ms low-latency mode as Realme’s headphones (this is achieved over a Bluetooth 5.0 connection).
The Realme Cobble speaker has a 1,500 mAh battery, which can last up to 9 hours of play time. It is charged over USB-C, a process that takes about 2.5 hours (you get a charging cable in the box, but no actual charger).

In the Realme Link app you will find three equalizer presets (Bass Boost+, Dynamic and Bright), a toggle for Game mode and the option to connect a second speaker for stereo.
The Realme Cobble Bluetooth speaker normally costs INR 1,800 ($25/€21), but the first sale will happen at a price of INR 1,500. It is available in Metal Black and Electric Blue (which has a camo pattern).

If you want something even more portable, the Realme Pocket Bluetooth speaker lives up to its name with a weight of 113g and more compact dimensions. It has a smaller battery, 600 mAh, though it still lasts a fairly long time – up to 6 hours. Charging (over USB-C) takes around 2.5 hours.
This one has a 3W driver with a passive bass radiator and targets the same frequency response as its bigger sibling. You can pair a second speaker for stereo sound. There is a Game mode, though we don’t see the 88 ms latency advertised.
Anyway, the Pocket speaker has the same EQ presets in the app and an IPX5 rating, so it’s not afraid to get wet.

The Realme Pocket Bluetooth speaker will sell at a regular price of INR 1,100 ($15/€13) with an early-bird deal of INR 100 off. It comes in Classic Black and Desert White (camo).

The two Bluetooth speakers will first go on sale on September 15 and will be available through realme.com, Flipkart and select retailers.
Finally, the Realme Buds Air 2 are getting a new colorway dubbed Closer Gold. It will be available from September 14 at the same price as before, INR 3,300 ($85/€38). For more details and our thoughts on this noise canceling TWS headset, check out our review.
