Realme GT Neo2 lands at Geekbench with Snapdragon 870

Realme has already confirmed that the GT Neo2 is on its way and will launch soon, even though the original GT Neo is less than six months old. We’ve seen the GT Neo2 in two sets of leaked renders already, but what about specs?

Well, perhaps the most important one – the SoC used – has been confirmed today through the fact that the GT Neo2 has been spotted in the Geekbench database. The phone has the model number RMX3370, and it ran the benchmark with the Snapdragon 870 chipset in tow.

That’s an interesting departure from its predecessor, as the original GT Neo went with MediaTek’s Dimensity 1200 SoC. Based on that logic, you may have expected subsequent GT Neo branded devices to stick with the same supplier, but no. It’s Qualcomm now.

The tested model also had 12GB of RAM, although an entry-level version with 8GB is likely to be offered as well. Unsurprisingly, the phone will run Android 11 out of the box (it’s still way too early for Android 12 for anything but Google phones).

According to a recent certification, the GT Neo2 will sport 65W fast charging, and past rumors have talked about it having a 6.62-inch FHD+ 120 Hz AMOLED screen, and a triple rear camera setup (64 MP main + 8 MP ultrawide + 2 MP depth or macro). Expect a 16 MP front-facing camera and a 5,000 mAh battery too.
