Realme GT Neo reaches India on May 4, rebranded as Realme X7 Max 5G

Realme isn’t slowing down the pace of its new phone launches, and today we have news about the next model that will hit India. We’re talking about the Realme X7 Max 5G, which is going to be launched on May 4 in the subcontinent, alongside a new TV. The date isn’t randomly chosen – the company will celebrate its three-year anniversary on May 4.

It’s been an exciting three years for Realme for sure, packed to the brim with phone launches and weird rebrandings. And in case you were wondering about that X7 Max 5G, yes, it’s one of those too.

Realme CEO Madhav Sheth has been teasing the event through the latest in the “Ask Madhav” video series on YouTube, and he mentions that we should expect India’s first smartphone with a Dimensity 1200 chipset powering it.

Realme’s first device to use that SoC in China is the Realme GT Neo that got official earlier this month. And rumor had it that the same phone would be launching in India as the Realme X7 Max 5G.

Thus, the expected specs should be identical. The Realme X7 Max 5G will get a 6.43-inch 1080×2400 120 Hz AMOLED screen, 6/8/12 GB of RAM, 128/256 GB of storage, a triple rear camera system (64 MP main, 8 MP ultrawide, 2 MP macro), a 16 MP selfie snapper, and a 4,500 mAh battery with 50W fast charging.
