Realme executive Madhav Sheth told us last month that the company is currently focusing on introducing leading processors and quick charging, and there’s nothing to share on the foldable topic.
Yet now members of the Realme Design Studio are ready to share a concept of a Realme GT 2 Fold, which later got reposted by the reliable leakster .
The design suggests a radical new solution in the world of foldables – the external screen in on the opposite part compared ot the Galaxy Z Fold line and the Mate X2 phone opens right-to-life.
The images showcase a camera setup with two 50MP shooters and a 6.5” cover AMOLED screen. Unfolded, the device becomes an 8” AMOLED tablet with a USB-C port on the bottom right side. There will be one more camera in the upper right corner.
This handset is tipped to cost over $1,200, which would still be an aggressive price for a horizontal foldable, undercutting the Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and the Huawei Mate X2.
Sadly, we have no launch date or timeframe yet. Hopefully we’ll hear more about it in the coming weeks.
