Today Realme had a big event in New Delhi, India, where the Realme X2 was introduced to the local crowd. The stage also saw the official unveiling of the Realme Buds Air – true wireless earphones at a super aggressive price.
The Realme Buds Air will be joining the Realme Buds and Realme Buds Wireless in the company’s portfolio expanding its range of products offered. The earphones come in a plastic case that supports wireless charging and have a seamless auto connection once you open the box. There is also support for Google Fast Pair protocol to allow for instant connectivity without extra hassle.
The Product Manager of Realme India revealed there is a customized R1 chip inside the Buds Air that supports super-low latency over Bluetooth 5.0. There is also a Gaming Mode that the company claims will lower the sound lag down to 120 ms, which is almost half the typicall 204 ms.
Each earphone has two microphones – one for calls, and another one for in-call noise cancellation. There is also a 12 mm bass booster that should provide a clearer sound.
The Realme Buds Air have optical wear sensors so you can set them to automatically pause your music when you take one off. There is also touch control for Play/Pause, activating the voice assistant, answering a call, etc.
Realme did not confirm battery capacities but promised 3h endurance on a charge and 17h total playback time with the battery inside the case.
The Realme Buds Air arrive in White, Yellow, and Black colors and will be available on Flipkart and Realmes website starting today in a quick hate-to-wait sale, but there is a proper launch date scheduled for December 23.
The price of the wearables is INR3,999 which is just $56/50. There is also a Realme-branded Qi Wireless Charger which will be launched soon.
