The Realme 6 got its first software update two weeks ago, which bumped up the Android security patch level on the smartphone to March 5, 2020 and added 120 FPS slow-motion video recording for the front camera. Now the company has released another update for the Realme 6, which fixes an issue related to HD video streaming on third-party apps.
The new firmware weighs around 320MB in size and sports version number RMX2001_11_B.17. It’s rolling out over the air and should reach all the units in a week or two.
Update changelog
The changelog doesn’t mention it, but Realme’s Indian CEO Madhav Sheth says the latest build enables HD video streaming on Netflix on the Realme 6. Sheth says the Pro version also gets Netflix HD video streaming support with the latest update, which could be the RMX2061_11_A.11 build that rolled out last week.

Previously, Realme India’s CMO Francis Wang revealed that 1080p streaming is not available on the Realme 6 since it’s powered by the Helio G90T SoC. But the company seems to have found a way to enable HD streaming on the vanilla 6.
Officially confirm: #realme6Pro do support 1080p streaming, OTA starts releasing from today for Netflix and permission will be issued by End of March for Amazon Prime. For #realme6, so far 1080p streaming is not applicable on any G90t phone, still trying.https://t.co/V85e83qu8j
