Samsung posted a video that highlights the quality and flexibility of Galaxy A80’s flip-up camera. That flip-up mechanism rotates the 48MP main camera, the 8MP ultra wide module and the 3D ToF sensor and points them at you, enabling almost full use of their capabilities.
The 48MP main module does make for high-quality photos and 4K selfie videos too (those are fairly rare). Plus, you also have the 123° ultra wide-angle camera for group shots.
Better yet, Samsungs advanced modes work in selfie mode too. Super Steady smooths out handheld videos better than typical EIS implementations. Live Focus Video helps you stand out by blurring the background.
Check out our Samsung Galaxy A80 review for more details on the camera and the phone in general. And as the final page of the review suggests, you may also want to look into the Asus Zenfone 6 if 48MP selfies are your thing (e.g. one thing that disappointed us in the A80 is that autofocus is disabled in selfie mode).
