Polaroid Unveils Mandalorian Themed Camera and Instant Film

Polaroid has partnered with Disney and Lucasfilm to release a special “collector’s edition” instant camera and a range of special-edition instant film themed after the popular Star Wars series The Mandalorian.

The collaboration includes the release of a Mandalorian-themed Polaroid Now instant camera and Mandalorian-themed i-Type color film that features “the Child”—better known as “Baby Yoda”—and other popular Mandalorian characters or logos “emblazoned” on uniquely colored frames.

The special Polaroid Now camera, which you can see below, features colors and textures inspired by the Mandalorian’s armor:

While the film frames feature “sepia, purple, or green oil slick iridescent tones.” There are 12 different frames in all:

We don’t always cover the release of special edition cameras, lenses, or film—especially since Leica is so fond of re-skinning its cameras every few months—but after many (many) years struggling for survival, it’s nice to see Polaroid back in the pop culture mainstream.

Both of the Mandalorian-themed products are available to order now from the Polaroid website. The special Polaroid Now camera will run you $120 (the standard version is $100), while the film will run you $18 per 8-pack (the standard version is $16).
