Poco X8 Pro 5G and Poco X8 Pro Max 5G have been announced in India and global markets with MediaTek Dimensity chipsets under the hood. The devices pack 1.5K resolution AMOLED displays which support 120Hz Refresh Rate and up to 3500 nits of peak brightness. Here’s everything to know about the two new devices from Poco.
Poco X8 Pro 5G: Price, Availability, Specifications
Available in 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB versions, the Poco X8 Pro 5G is priced at Rs 32,999 and Rs 35,999, respectively. The device comes in Black, White, and Green colours. There’s also an Iron Man edition in the 12GB RAM model that costs Rs 37,999. Buyers can avail a Rs 3,000 discount with SBI, ICICI, and HDFC bank cards. It will be available for sale exclusively via Flipkart from March 23, 12 pm onwards.
The Poco X8 Pro 5G sports a 6.59-inch (2756 x 1268 pixels) 1.5K AMOLED 20:9 display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, up to 3500 nits peak brightness, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 3840Hz PWM Dimming, Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and DC Dimming.
The device packs the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra SoC and runs on Android 16-based HyperOS 3.0. The smartphone also houses up to 12GB LPPDR5x RAM, 256GB UFS 4.1 storage, and VC liquid cooling system. The device is IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K rated.
For optics, the handset features a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 f/1.5 sensor with OIS and an 8-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide angle lens. For selfies, the handset houses a 20-megapixel OV20B f/2.2 selfie camera.
Connectivity options include 5G dual SIM, WiFi 6, Bluetooth v5.4, Dual-Band GNSS, IR blaster and NFC. It has dual stereo speakers. The handset also features an in-screen optical fingerprint sensor.
