Poco M8 5G series specifications as well as renders have been leaked online, suggesting the devices will get a design we have seen from the brand multiple times before. The devices will have Snapdragon processors, AMOLED displays, decently-sized batteries, and more. Here’s what to expect from them.
Poco M8 5G Series: Leaked Specs
Leaked by tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore on X, the Poco M8 5G series will get a squircle camera module on the back. Both of them will have dual rear camera setups and will be available in three colour options each. Both of them will come in Black, Green, and Silver.

The M8 5G seems to be a rebadged Redmi Note 15 5G for the most part. Like the Note 15 5G, it will sport a 6.77-inch full-HD+ Resolution AMOLED Display with a Refresh Rate of 120Hz. It will come with the same Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC under the hood. Storage variants weren’t revealed in the leak.
Then it could feature a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary camera with OIS and a 2MP f/2.4 depth camera. The smartphone may also have a 20MP selfie camera which is unlike the Redmi Note 15’s 8MP sensor. The Note 15 5G packs a 5800mAh battery and comes with 45W Fast charging support but the Poco M8 5G could pack a smaller 5520mAh cell with 45W charging. However, the battery capacity may vary by region.
Additional features will include an IR Blaster and dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 5, 5G, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, a USB-C port for charging, an in-display optical fingerprint sensor for security and an IP68 rated build. It could run on Android 15-based Hyper OS 2.0.

Poco M8 Pro 5G
The Poco M8 Pro 5G seems to be based off of the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G. Same as Redmi’s device, it will get a 6.83-inch 1.5K Resolution AMOLED Display with a Refresh Rate of 120Hz and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. For optics you can expect a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor and a 32MP selfie sensor.
Additional features will include an optical fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 5, IR blaster, and an IP68 rated body. The battery capacity could be 6500mAh with 100W fast charging. However, the capacity could differ based on the region. It will run on Android 15 based Hyper OS 2.0.
Poco M8 5G Series: Expected Launch Timeline
According to leaks online, the device will launch sometime in January 2026, both globally as well as in India.
