Oxygen OS 11.1.4.4 update brings fixes for overheating and battery life on OnePlus Nord

The latest Oxygen OS 11.1.4.4 update for the OnePlus Nord arrived over the weekend and it aims to iron out several bugs including battery drain and overheating. The phone is also updated to the June security patch.

Nord users also get a fix for delayed notifications which would not appear in a timely manner on some devices. The OTA update is being pushed globally though availability will vary depending on carrier and region.

Full Oxygen OS 11.1.4.4 changelog:

  • System
    • Extended battery life
    • Reduced power consumption in specific scenarios
    • Fixed the issue of delayed notifications
    • Fixed the overheating issue in certain scenarios
    • Updated Android security patch to 2021.06

OnePlus Nord owners are recommended to leave at least 3GB storage for the update as well as have their battery on at least 30% charge before starting the update process.
