Ever since its launch in the fall of 2017, Xiaomis Mi A-line has grown in popularity thanks to its affordable pricing and stock Android software. Now, the third edition is in and its offering some compelling specs like a Super AMOLED display and a triple camera setup alongside the traditional clean software.

This year’s Mi A3 brings a much needed refreshed design with front and back Gorilla Glass 5 build and metal sides. Xiaomi has kept the design language from their flagship Mi9 which is nice to see in a more budget device. Moving on we have a 6.01-inch Super AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch and the aforementioned 720 x 1560 resolution. In addition, youre also getting a UD fingerprint reader.
Around the back, the Mi A3 packs a triple camera setup with a 48MP F/1.8 main and 8MP F/2.2 ultrawide module alongside a 2MP F/2.4 depth sensor. Under the hood, we have the Snapdragon 665 paired with 4GB RAM and 64/128 GB storage. The battery department features a 4,030 mAh cell with support for 18W fast charging. Other extras include a 3.5mm headphone jack, IR port and an SD card slot.
The Mi A3 is an interesting device with features that youd expect from more premium devices (sans the display that is). The battery life is impressive, performance is solid and the design is quite nice but whether that’s enough depends on your specific preferences.
