Oppo Reno2 5G design leaks as certification confirms VOOC 3.0 support

A new Oppo device bearing the PCKM70 model number passed through China’s Compulsory Certification Agency (CCC) just ahead of the upcoming Reno2 series announcement. The only details that are available from the certificate are that it comes with VOOC 3.0 support for 20W fast charging and supports 5G connectivity.

Earlier today we got official confirmation from Oppo that the lineup will feature a quad-camera setup with 20x Zoom capabilities. The brand’s website had a Reno2 page listing for a brief period which gave us our first official look at the phone.

The signature shark-fin pop-up camera appears to be here to stay and the back design seems similar to the first-gen Reno. The only noticeable difference is the fourth camera module and the re-positioned flash sensor on the side.

In addition Oppo also released a video highlighting the stabilization features of the new Reno phone. We can’t say much about the quality but the Ultra Steady Video as Oppo calls it should come in handy for fast-paced action shots.

The Reno2 series is expected to launch on August 28 at an event in New Delhi.
