Oppo K14x 5G India Launch: What to Expect?
With the K14x 5G India launch set for February 10 at 12 noon, the device will be made available via Flipkart and Oppo’s own website for purchase. According to the teaser shared by Oppo, the device will come in Blue and Purple shades with a dual rear camera setup positioned identically to the K13x 5G. However, the flash placement has been changed.
The device appears to have a flat frame with matte finish but considering this is a budget handset, it should be made of plastic. The power key and volume rocker can be seen on the right spine of the handset.
As for the key specs of the handset, the company has confirmed some of them ahead of the Oppo K14x 5G India launch. It will pack a 6500mAh battery with 45W fast wired charging. Compared to the K13x 5G, this is a 500mAh bigger cell while charging speed remains identical.
In measured tests conducted by Oppo, the device reportedly offered up to 20.9 hours of screen-off calling, 17.6 hours of YouTube video playback, and 16.1 hours of Google Maps navigation, while supporting up to 12.1 hours of WhatsApp video calling. While gaming, it delivered up to 11 hours of MLBB, 10.5 hours of Free Fire, 9.4 hours of BGMI, and 8.2 hours of PUBG.
The device gets a 50MP primary rear camera while the details of secondary sensor remain scarce. You’ll also get OPPO’s AI-powered imaging features, including AI Eraser, AI Reflection Remover, AI Best Shot, and AI Unblur. As for the display, it will be a a 6.75-inch HD+ panel, featuring a 120Hz Refresh Rate and up to 1125nits of peak brightness.
The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip will power the handset which is the same chip as the K13x 5G. Oppo claims the device will have “Segment-leading UFS read and write speeds-up to 3× faster than competing devices,” but didn’t confirmed the version of storage and RAM as of yet. It will run on ColorOS 15 based on Android 15 which is disappointing considering the K13x 5G ran on the same version. Finally, the device will also be IP64 rated for dust and water resistance which is actually a downgrade from Oppo K13x 5G’s IP65 rating.
