Oppo has been partnering with Mohamed Salah, Liverpool FC and Egypt forward, who advertises various phones of the company in the Middle East & Africa Region. To thank him for the loyal support, the company is now launching a customized version in his home market – meet the Oppo Reno4 Mo Salah Edition.
This Reno4 is exactly the same on the inside as the regular Reno4, available on the global market – 6.4” OLED, Snapdragon 720G with 4G capabilities, and VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge at 30W. The difference is the outside of the phone – it is painted in Dark Grey and Red with some interesting design accents, including the footballer’s autograph.
The phone’s rim transitions between red and dark grey/black and some might say this is an homage to the Egyptian black-white-red flag. The phone will also ship with an exclusive theme for ColorOS 7.2 with a Mo Salah wallpaper, red icons with a slight redesign – even the Contacts app has a little Mo face on it.
The Reno4 Mo Salah Edition is available on the Oppo Egypt website with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage for EGP 6,590 – that’s around $420; for comparison, the vanilla edition in Galactic Blue is EGP300/$20 cheaper.
