OnePlus Pad renders show off its metal unibody design and Oreo style camera

Earlier today OnePlus confirmed that its first-ever tablet will be unveiled at its February 7 event. The company even shared a teaser image, though that only offers a clear look at the OnePlus 11 and the OnePlus Buds Pro 2, which already launched in China (the event on the 7th is for their global launch). The tablet itself remained shrouded in mystery.

“Remained”, past tense. As usual leakster has 3D renders ready before official images have been shared. Have a gander at the OnePlus Pad:

Weird, isn’t it – how many tablets can you think of that have an Oreo style camera island? Especially placed on the center line like that rather than tucked in a corner. This does match the OnePlus 11 aesthetic, it and the tablet clearly belong together.

Specs for the tablet are still kept under wraps, but we do know that it will have an 11.6” display. The slate will have a metal unibody design, so it should be sturdy, though details on thickness and weight are still under wraps.

And if you look closely, there is a front-facing camera on one of the long sides of the tablet This is much better for video calls in landscape orientation (and is surprisingly rare among tablets).

OnePlus’ big event is a couple of weeks from now and it will introduce the OnePlus 11 and Buds Pro 2 to the world at large. Also, the OnePlus Keyboard and a new smart TV will make their debuts. And the OnePlus Pad, of course.
