OnePlus Nord 6 India Launch Teased: What to Expect?

OnePlus Nord 6 India launch has been teased by the brand. While the company didn’t explicitly state the model name, multiple leaks suggest it will indeed be the Nord 6. Alongside, the company may also debut the OnePlus Nord CE 6.

As per the microsite created by OnePlus, we can see a teaser for the upcoming Nord phone with a darkened image of the device. One can notice the camera module as well as the volume rocker. The OnePlus Nord 6 India launch date hasn’t been confirmed for now, but tipster Yogesh Brar says the launch will take place early in April.

He also suggests that the prices will go up compared to the Nord 5 but we’ll know more details about that once the launch takes place.

Further, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 has also reportedly appeared on the BIS website. This could suggest imminent launch of the Nord CE 6 as well where it could debut alongside the Nord 6.

As for the specifications, leaks indicate that the Nord 6 is a rebranded OnePlus Turbo 6 which launched in China back in January this year. Turbo 6 starts at CNY 2,099 (approx Rs 27,000) for the base 12GB RAM + 256GB model in China but it India, it could start at around Rs 35,000 as per our expectations.

The OnePlus Turbo 6 gets a 6.78-inch LTPS AMOLED Display with a 1.5K Resolution (2772 x 1272 pixels), up to 165Hz refresh rate, 3840Hz PWM dimming, 100% DCI-P3, 1800 nits peak brightness, 450 ppi, HDR 10, 10-bit colours, and a 330Hz touch sampling rate. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC powers the device with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

Additionally, the OnePlus Turbo 6 has a dual camera setup at the rear including a 50MP f/1.8 Sony LYT-600 primary sensor with OIS and a 2MP f/2.4 Monochrome sensor. On the front, there is a 16MP f/2.4 sensor for selfies and video calls.

It is backed by a 9000mAh battery that supports 80W wired charging and 27W reverse wired charging. Connectivity options include 5G, NFC, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth v6.0, and USB-C for charging. Further, it runs on ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. Lastly, it equips dual stereo speakers, an optical fingerprint scanner under the display, is IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K rated, and gets an X-Axis Linear Vibration Motor.

The Nord CE 6 could be a rebranded OnePlus Turbo 6V. The device starts at CNY 1,900 (approx Rs 24,500) for the base 8GB + 256GB model in China but in India, it could start at around Rs 30,000. This is a speculative figure so take it with a pinch of salt.

The OnePlus Turbo 6V gets a 6.78-inch LTPS AMOLED Display with a 1.5K Resolution (2772 x 1272 pixels), up to 144Hz refresh rate, 3840Hz PWM dimming, 100% DCI-P3, 1800 nits peak brightness, 450 ppi, HDR 10, 10-bit colours, and a 330Hz touch sampling rate.
