Soon after confirming the October 13 launch of the 9 RT, OnePlus also announced that it will unveil the Buds Z2 TWS earphones alongside its new smartphone next Wednesday.

OnePlus says the Buds Z2 will offer deep noise reduction (machine translated from Chinese), long-lasting battery life, and excellent sound quality. The company also shared a poster on Weibo, which corroborates the Buds Z2’s previous design leaks and confirms color options.

While previously leaked renders already gave us a good look at the Buds Z2, an image shared by reliable leakster Evan Blass tells us what to expect from its retail package.

The Buds Z2 will come in a red-white retail box, which includes the usual paperwork, charging cable, and extra tips, with the Buds Z2’s charging case seemingly having a glossy finish.

We also get to see the retail box’ label, which confirms the charging case will pack a 520 mAh battery, rumored to offer a playback time of 31 hours. The buds reportedly have a 40 mAh cell each, said to provide seven-hour endurance with ANC turned off.

The rest of the Buds Z2’s rumored features include IP55 rating, Bluetooth 5.2, Dolby Atmos, and fast charging, which will provide five hours of playtime with a 10-minute charge.

We expect some of these features to get officially confirmed by OnePlus in the days leading to the October 13 unveiling.
