OnePlus Buds Pro will be unveiled on July 22 with adaptive noise cancellation and Warp Charge

OnePlus is set to introduce the Nord 2 5G on July 22, and alongside that, the company will also unveil its new TWS earphones, dubbed OnePlus Buds Pro.

This revelation comes from OnePlus’ R&D Head Kinder Liu, who said the Buds Pro will feature adaptive noise cancellation and use three microphones to monitor exterior noises and then “intelligently produce noise-canceling counter frequencies” to automatically reduce the noise levels between 15 to 40 decibels.

The OnePlus Buds Pro look similar to Apple’s Airpods Pro, and their design will be a combination of matte and glossy finishes. The buds will be matte, while their stems will have a glossy metallic covering.

Liu says that OnePlus used a non-conductive vacuum metallization technology to create this design, and the process allowed it to achieve a metallic appearance on a plastic housing surface.

Liu didn’t reveal the battery size of the OnePlus Buds Pro and their charging case but said that the earphones, together with their charging case, will offer up to 28 hours of endurance with adaptive noise cancellation enabled and 38 hours without it.

The Buds Pro’s charging case will have a USB-C port and support Warp Charge technology, allowing you to get 10 hours of battery life with a 10-minute charge. Interestingly, you’ll be able to use any adapter or cable to get those charging speeds.

You’ll also have the option to charge the Buds Pro’s case wirelessly using any Qi wireless charger, but it will charge slower at 2W compared to 10W on wired charging.

OnePlus is touting the Buds Pro as flagship-level TWS earphones and they will be sold in Matte Black color. We’ll surely learn more about the OnePlus Buds Pro as we inch closer to the July 22 unveiling.
