The OnePlus 12 is expected to launch in January, a year after the OnePlus 11. We’ve already had not one, but two rounds of leaked specs for the upcoming device, and today it’s time for round three.
According to the usually very reliable Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the OnePlus 12 will be a spec monster. It will employ a curved screen manufactured by a Chinese company, which will support high frequency pulse width modulation dimming and is apparently built on a new substrate tech.
At the helm will sit the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, paired with either 16GB or a whopping 24GB of RAM. Speaking of whopping – the battery will be 5,400 mAh with support for 100W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
The main camera will use a new, yet-unannounced 50 MP Sony IMX9xx sensor, and next to it will sit a 50 MP ultrawide and a 64 MP 3x periscope telephoto snapper, OnePlus’ first. The phone will have a metal middle frame as well as an ultra-thin optical fingerprint reader embedded in the display. The vibration motor will be an “ultra-large” X-axis motor for crisp and deep vibrations, and of course there will be a “super large” heat dissipation area.
According to previous rumors, the screen size will be 6.7″, its refresh rate 120 Hz, and the resolution QHD+. Expect at least 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage too, a 32 MP selfie snapper, and OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14 on board.
