OnePlus 10 Pro users in Europe can try out Android 13 as Oxygen OS 13 Beta 2 goes live

OnePlus officially launched its first Android 13 beta last week to the OnePlus 10 Pro, and now there’s already a second build in Oxygen OS 13 Beta 2, which is available in Europe.

Detailed on the OnePlus Community Forums today, OnePlus has released Oxygen OS 13 Open Beta 2 to OnePlus 10 Pro users who opt to try it out. The build comes barely a week after the first release and packs minor improvements on the whole. OnePlus said this new build has “more functional features” compared to Beta 1.

The full changelog can be seen below, but the big change this time around is that the OnePlus 10 Pro owners in Europe can now download the Android 13 beta on their devices. Oxygen OS 13 Beta 2 is available in North America, India, and Europe, whereas Beta 1 was only available in the latter two regions.

As with Beta 1, there’s a list of known issues with this build, including some camera problems and MMS issues for some carriers in Europe. Notably, too, this build is not compatible with the T-Mobile version of the OnePlus 10 Pro. You’ll also need to upgrade from Oxygen OS 12 A.15 or A.16, or the first Android 13 beta.

• Optimizes Shelf. Swiping down on the Home screen will bring up the Shelf by default. You can search content online and on your device.

• Optimizes Bitmoji to offer more Always-On Display animations.
• Optimizes Insight Always-On Display, with more personalized Always-On Display settings available.

[Security and privacy]

• Adds an automatic pixelation feature for screenshots of chats. The system can identify and automatically pixelate profile pictures and display names in a chat screenshot to protect your privacy.
• Adds regular clearing of clipboard data for privacy protection.
• Optimizes Private Safe. The Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is used to encrypt all files for enhanced security of private files.

• Adds Kid Space, providing screen time limit, ambient light reminders, and Eye-protecting display features.
