Buried within the press release for its firmware updates for the Z6 II, Z7 II and Z9, Nikon also announced it’s releasing its first CFexpress Type B memory card.
The 660GB Nikon MC-CF660G CFexpress Type B memory card tops out with read and write speeds of 1,700MBps and 1,500MBps, respectively. Nikon says this card ‘is optimized for the intensive video and still shooting requirements of high performance cameras like the Z9 flagship mirrorless camera.’
The new Nikon MC-CF660G CFexpress Type B memory card will be available in June with an MSRP of $729.95. Pre-orders can be placed through Nikon’s online shop or through authorized Nikon retailers participating in pre-orders. For comparison, that’s $100 more than Delkin’s 1TB CFexpress Type B card, which has slightly faster maximum read and write speeds of 1,730MBps and 1,540MBps, respectively.
