Motorola Razr Fold, touted to be the company’s first-ever book-style foldable, is coming later in 2026 according to a new leak. Motorola is currently the only major smartphone OEM that does not have book-style foldable under its portfolio and that should change soon.
The extensive leak from Evan Blass on X, which also reveals a lot about the upcoming product lineup from Lenovo this year, has a screen grab from a presentation by the brand which mentions that the Motorola Razr Fold, brand’s first in the fold form factor, was previewed and is launching later this year.
“The razr fold will offer brilliant displays, intelligent Al, and an advanced, boundary-breaking camera system, setting a new standard for what’s possible in a foldable device,” the screenshot read. This suggests that the foldable will indeed be a flagship, similar to the Razr 60 Ultra flip foldable phone. Further, it will likely compete with the likes of Samsung’s upcoming Z Fold 8 and other notable fold phones from major manufacturers.
While the company will reveal more about the device in the coming months, there are no specifications of the handset which have leaked so far. What has leaked, though, are the specifications of one of the brand’s most premium smartphones that is supposed to launch in India on January 7 and be called ‘Motorola Signature’.
Leak from the same source suggests that the Motorola Signature 5G packs a 6.8″ pOLED LTPO Display with a 165Hz refresh rate, 6200 nits peak brightness, 10-bit colours, 300Hz touch sampling rate, HDR 10+ support, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, a 446 ppi, and 2780 x 1264 pixels resolution. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
There is a triple rear camera setup, including an OIS-assisted 50MP Sony LYT-828 f/1.6 primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP f/2.0 ultra-wide angle sensor, and a 50MP Sony LYT-600 f/2.4 telephoto sensor with 3x Optical Zoom and OIS. At the front, it gets a 50MP f/2.0 Sony LYT-500 sensor. The device packs a 5200mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
It also has Dolby Atmos-tuned stereo speakers and an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The handset is IP68 + IP69 and has the MIL-STD-810H certification. The handset runs on Android 16-based Hello UI and will receive 7 major OS updates and 7 years of security patches.
