Moto G8 Play starts receiving Android 10

Motorola has begun seeding the Android 10 firmware to the Moto G8 Play in Brazil. The firmware, QMD30.47-19, is the same Android 10 that Motorola pushed to the One Macro in India a few weeks ago and is about 1.46GB in size.

Android 10 brings along a number of improvements. It enables gesture navigation, dark theme, improved navigation panel and, in this case, the December 2020 security patch.

We haven’t had reports of Moto G8 Play devices outside of Brazil receiving the update, but if you have the device, do check in your software update menu to see if the OTA has arrived for you.
