Xiaomi has started seeding the latest MIUI 12 version to the global Redmi Note 8T. The firmware version is 12.0.1.0.QCXMIXM and, of course, it’s still based on Android 10. The October security patch comes along too.
However, if you are a European owner, the update might arrive a little later. Units outside of China and Europe are receiving the much-awaited MIUI 12. Anyway, aside from all the MIUI 12-intrinsic features, the changelog mentions optimizations to the Control Center’s layout in landscape mode. Another fix is related to the noise you could hear coming out of the screen when turned off. Well, that’s gone now.
