Minecraft amplifies its 15th anniversary with Beats by Dre collab

To celebrate its 15th anniversary, Minecraft is teaming up with Beats by Dre to release a special edition of its Solo 4 headphones.

The on-ear Beats Solo 4 features personalized spatial audio with dynamic head tracking to immerse players in their music and games with up to 50 hours of battery. The special Minecraft edition’s design is based on the franchise’s iconic Creeper enemy and its pixelated block aesthetics. The special edition headphones are also bundled with an in-game cosmetic version, allowing players to wear them IRL or in Minecraft.

The Beats x Minecraft Solo 4 promo features Imagine Dragon’s newest song Wake Up.

The brands are collaborating with content creator TinaKitten to promote the special edition headset. To add to the atmosphere, TinaKitten will curate a Spatial Audio playlist available exclusively on Apple Music. Additionally, fans in New York City can celebrate the launch in-person with TinaKitten on July 18, 2024 at 6:30pm ET. She will join Apple Music Radio host Travis Mills for a conversation as a part of Apple’s Today at Apple programming.

This partnership is part of Minecraft’s 15th anniversary celebration campaign that kicked off in May with 15 Days of Minecraft.

Beats x Minecraft Special Edition Solo 4 retails for $199.99 and will be available starting July 18 at apple.com, ee.co.uk, target.com and select Apple Store locations in the U.S. and EE stores in the U.K..
