The bad news is Meizu’s big announcement for today, ended up just a confirmation of an event. The good news is it’s only 8 days away – September 22. Àt it well see the 18s 18s Pro and 18x smartphones as well as 30 other different products.
The event will see the unveiling of the new Flyme OS, some smart Lipro lights, and Pandaer accessories.
The two flagship smartphones already appeared on TENAA, revealing an upgrade to the Snapdragon 888 chipset from the Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro is getting replaced by the newer Snapdragon 888+. Everything else is expected to remain the same – display, memory, cameras, charging and overall size.

The Meizu 18x brings the X lineup back in the game – it is the more affordable alternative to flagships. We haven’t heard much about it, but we’ll probably get more teasers until September 22.
