Whether it was a Motorola phone that posted those 1 million points in AnTuTu or not, the next Moto flagship is definitely operational – one is in the hands of the General Manager of Lenovo China, who posted a vague teaser about it.
A lot less vague is the “posted from” label on Weibo, which names the phone as the Moto Edge X30. The expectation is for this to be the model name in China, while the rest of the world will call the phone the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra.
As for the vague teaser, the GM mentions two panes of Gorilla Glass and a cool-running “powerful inner core”. Earlier this month a complete spec sheet leaked, so you can have a peek behind the veil. Long story short, the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, will have a 6.67” 1080p+ OLED display with 144 Hz refresh rate, a 50+50+2 MP camera setup and a 5,000 mAh battery with 68W fast charging.

Do note that it is possible some confusion crept into the leaks and that the X30 may turn out to be the vanilla Edge 30, leaving the Ultra name for another model. Motorola and Xiaomi are reportedly eager to release phones with 200 MP cameras. “Edge” is the current name of Moto flagships and topping an Edge Ultra will be hard.
There is still no concrete date for the unveiling of the Motorola Edge X30/Edge 30 Ultra as both Motorola and Xiaomi are waiting for Qualcomm to announce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset (the two companies will be among the first to release phones with the new chip).
