Leica has announced the release of its Q2 007 Edition camera system. Only 250 units of the limited-edition camera will be made to coincide with the release of ‘No Time to Die,’ the latest James Bond film, which itself has been delayed for more a year due to complications surrounding the global COVID-19 pandemic.
The new Leica Q2 007 Edition camera is made to celebrate the release of the 25th Bond film, which is likely the inspiration for limiting the model to just 250 units. As is usually the case for Leica’s limited-edition cameras, the internals of this version remain unchanged from the standard Leica Q2.

The only differences are external, including a black paint finish that’s wrapped with a bespoke ocean green leather covering made by Globe-Trotter. Globe-Trotter also manufacturers the accompanying hardcase and hand strap, both of which are made of the same ocean green leather.
Leica has also included the signature ‘007’ logo emblazoned on the top of the camera, as well as the unit number engraved on the back of the camera, under the display. A custom ‘007 gun barrel’ body cap is included, which, coincidentally enough, looks like a partially-closed aperture diaphragm.
The Leica Q2 007 Edition camera is available to pre-order now for $7,995 on Leica’s online shop. If you’re planning to get one, you might want to do so sooner than later considering only 250 units are being made.
‘No Time to Die,’ which may or may not be Daniel Craig’s last Bond film depending on how much the studios willing to pay him for the next one, is scheduled to be released on September 30, 2021 in the United Kingdom and October 8, 2021 in the Unites States, with other regions varying .
