Leica’s latest limited-edition camera is a black and gold Daniel Craig x Greg Williams collab

Leica has announced its latest limited special edition camera, the Leica Q2 Daniel Craig x Greg Williams.

The limited special edition camera is limited to just two units and was created ‘in close collaboration with award-winning actor Daniel Craig and and Greg Williams, one of Britain’s most renowned photographers.’ Leica says ‘Both Craig and Williams have a common passion in photography and are both avid fans of the Leica brand, making this a perfect collaboration for the pair.’

As with Leica’s past limited special edition cameras, the Daniel Craig x Greg Williams Q2 remains technically unchanged from its less-special counterpart, complete with the 47.3MP full-frame sensor, a built-in Summilux 28mm F1.7 lens and an OLED EVF. What is changed is the external aesthetic, which eschews Leica’s standard branding — including the ‘red dot’ — for a black and gold design.

All engravings and accents are finished with gold paint, while the camera rest of the camera, including the diamond pattern-embossed vegetable-tanned leather wrap, is entirely black. The name and sequential serial number of the Daniel Craig x Greg Williams Q2 units are engraved under the display glass cover. Each unit comes with a black nappa leather carry strap.

Only 750 Q2 Daniel Craig x Greg Williams units have been made. They are available starting today at Leica Stores and authorized dealers around the world for $6,995.
