Leak: Nothing Phone 4a Pro to Feature Aluminium Unibody Chassis, 140x Zoom Capability

Nothing Phone 4a series’ new leak has emerged online, giving us a glimpse at what we can expect from the devices. Leaks regarding the upcoming Nothing mid-rangers have surfaced before but the latest leak seems to be a bigger one with the most information we have seen for the devices.

As per a Dealabs report, the Nothing Phone 4a is expected to arrive in a single 256GB storage option, paired with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM. Four colours are likely to be available: Black, White, Pink and Blue. However, Pink and Blue may be exclusive to the 12GB + 256GB variant.

As for the Nothing Phone 4a Pro, it is tipped to come in two configurations: 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB. Colour options could include Black, Silver and Pink, with Pink again reportedly limited to the higher 12GB + 256GB model.

In terms of upgrades, the Nothing Phone 4a is said to bring noticeable changes over its predecessor. The standard model may feature a new 50MP triple-camera setup, covering everything from a 0.6x ultra-wide lens to a 70x ultra-zoom. A 32MP front camera is also expected for selfies and video calls. Nothing is likely to continue its signature transparent design, this time with slightly more organic curves and a refined Glyph Bar made up of 63 mini-LEDs for notifications and other light effects.

On the display front, the Nothing Phone 4a could feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with an adaptive Refresh Rate ranging from 30Hz to 120Hz. The battery is also expected to see improvements in endurance, along with support for 50W fast charging. Previous reports suggest the devices will have only slightly bigger 5088mAh batteries compared to the Phone 3a series. Both devices may support 50W fast wired charging.

The Nothing Phone 4a Pro is tipped to pack even bigger upgrades over the Phone 4a. Report suggests up to 140x zoom, a 50MP Sony main sensor with OIS, and an aluminium unibody frame aimed at better heat management. It may also introduce a new Glyph Matrix system like we saw on the Nothing Phone 3, replacing the previous Glyph layout, along with a slightly larger 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED Display over the Phone 3a Pro, capable of reaching up to 144Hz.

Pricing is expected to increase across the Nothing Phone 4a lineup. The standard model could see a price hike of around €50 compared to the Phone (3a), while the Pro version may rise by roughly €90 over the previous generation.
