Lava Blaze 5G arrives: India’s cheapest 5G smartphone

Lava Blaze 5G was introduced today during India Mobile Congress 2022. It is set to be India’s most affordable 5G smartphone, although the company did not reveal an actual price. The device is powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 700 chipset, which is one of few differences to the Lava Blaze Pro, introduced last month.

The Blaze 5G also has a 6.5” LCD with 720p resolution 90Hz refresh rate, and a fingerprint scanner on the side. RAM is 4GB, storage is 128GB. There is a slot for a microSD card.

The phone also has a 50MP main camera on the back and an 8MP selfie shooter at the front. The battery capacity is 5,000 mAh and the phone comes with Android 12 out of the box.

Other highlights of the Blaze 5G include a USB-C port, Bluetooth 5.1, room for two SIM cards, and Dual VoLTE.

The phone will be launched for Diwali, which will be celebrated on October 24. It will come in Blue and Green and will cost “around INR10,000”, according to the company – that’s $125.
